Elberta Peach

Last year, we bought a small Elberta Peach tree from Home Depot, and this year, we got about 20 medium size peaches. The meat was yellow, very juicy and sweet. At first, we found that there were squirals or birds eating two of our peaches, so I put a lot of Caution Line around the peach tree and on the branches. These smart animals could understand either English or Spanish, and they only ate very few after we put the line.

If you plan to plant a fruit tree in the backyard, Elberta Peach is a good choice.

Does caution lines really work? Phil and I were talking about birds eating the fruits in our backyard, and we were thinking to make 稻草人. I wonder if 稻草人works?

稻草人doesn't work for our backyard. We made one before, but the birds were not afraid of "him".

The reason that the caution line worked was because with all the lines flying around the tree, it's harder for the animals or birds to get through or to spot the fruit. It worked last year with our pear tree as well. This year, our pear tree was ill, so we didn't care about the birds.

Thanks! Will ribbons work?

You may try! Caution line 在Home Depot 一卷1000 inches 左右,大約9塊錢, 比較粗(3 inch)也比較醒目。
